Trustees

Trustees are appointed by the court in all Chapter 7 cases to liquidate the assets of the debtor and distribute the funds collected to creditors. On occasion, a trustee is appointed in a Chapter 11 case, either to liquidate the assets or to develop a plan of reorganization.

James Olson has represented both Chapter 7 trustees and Chapter 11 trustees in a variety of cases over the past three decades. Generally, these representations involve bringing lawsuits in state or federal court on behalf of the trustee to recover monies due to the debtor’s estate.

Mr. Olson has also represented Chapter 11 trustees in operating and formulating plans of reorganization for multimillion dollar healthcare facilities.
